History

Perthshire Brass was formed in 1978 by well known local teacher Mr George Annan, who led the band for more than 32 years before passing the baton to his son George in 2010.

The band enjoys a fine reputation in Perth performing at many civic events, and supporting countless charities. In July it represented Perth with pride in the German twin city of Aschaffenburg, receiving fantastic hospitality and enthusiastic audiences. The band tours abroad every two to three years and plays a major part in maintaining relationships with many of Perth's twin cities.

Musical Director George Annan is a youth work manager, enjoying his job immensely working with young people and supporting youth workers across the East Perthshire area.

His passion for youth work is matched only by his enthusiasm for Perthshire Brass and his pride in his young family.
