Under the spotlight: J36 Brass

J36 Brass was formed in January 2016 and has enjoyed considerable success.

 

WITH a couple of weeks to go until the Band Supplies Scottish Challenge, J36 Brass is the latest band to go under the spotlight.

The north of England third section regional champion was only formed in January 2016 but has already enjoyed great success. Under the baton of Andrew Warriner, the band will be looking to write another exciting chapter in its burgeoning history when it competes in Kilmarnock on November 19.

History

J36 Brass was formed in January 2016 and is based near Kendal. The band mainly features players from Cumbria with some from north Lancashire and south Scotland.

The band won the northern third section regional championships and Keswick contests. It came second at the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain.
