Joanne’s service to banding recognised by life membership
Congratulations to Joanne Lang of Coalburn Silver Band on receiving her Scottish Brass Band Association life membership medal.
The presentation was made by SBBA secretary Tom Allan at a concert by the band.
Joanne joined Coalburn in 1979 and was a member until 1997. She rejoined in 2004 and is today an integral part of the band’s cornet section.
During Joanne’s break from Coalburn in the late nineties, she played with Bathgate Brass Band.
Joanne has over 40 years service to the brass band movement and has been a stalwart for Coalburn Silver which has seen the band promoted from the 4th section to the championship.
