Robbert Vos to deliver masterclass
EUPHONIUM star Robbert Vos is preparing to host a brass masterclass in Midlothian - and everyone is welcome.
The Dutch musician is delivering the event on Saturday, October 24, in connection with St David's Brass and Sterling Musical Instruments. Proceedings are due to run from 1.30pm until 4.30pm in the Vogrie Hall, Vogrie Road, Gorebridge.
Commenting on the event, Robbert said: "After some contact between me and St David's over the past few years, I'm very much looking forward to finally working together for an exciting weekend. The band has been developing well in the last few years and I hope I can help with that during the workshop and private lessons.
"I always enjoy coming to Scotland because there is a very special atmosphere. It would be great to see as many faces as possible at the workshop sessions so we can have lots of fun. I look forward to seeing everyone there."
A Sterling Artist, Robbert is solo euphonium player of Brass Band Schoonhoven and the euphonium player of the Royal Netherlands Navy Marine Band. Also an accomplished conductor, he won the Dutch National Brass Band Championships in the 2nd division with Brass Band Schoonhoven B in 2013.
Entry to the masterclass is free and anyone looking to register should email Stuart Dickson.
