Own-choice test pieces announced for European championships

Scottish composer Alan Fernie’s Prismatic Light is among the list of own-choice test pieces being played at the European Brass Band Championships. The music is one of 11 works in the European Youth Band Competition – Premier Section.

The European Brass Band Association (EBBA) has announced the own-choice test piece selections by the competing bands at the 45th European Brass Band Championships in Palanga, Lithuania.

“There is an intriguing selection of own-choice pieces and composers in the Championship, Challenge and Youth sections, so it promises to be a great weekend of music making and listening,” commented Ulf Rosenberg, president of the EBBA.
