Creetown Silver is seeking a new musical director

Thursday 28 March 2024

Creetown Silver Band is on the look-out for a new musical director. The Dumfries and Galloway outfit, founded in 1880, is based in the newly refurbished Quarrymen’s Arts Centre.

With a membership of 30 players of all ages, the currently non-contesting band also has a developing junior ensemble.

Rehearsals take place on Thursday evenings from 7 to 9pm.

Creetown Silver has a busy summer and Christmas season of concerts, church services and galas throughout the region.

The successful candidate will have some knowledge, understanding and experience of conducting and tuition within the brass banding movement.

For more information or to be considered for the vacancy, contact secretary Heather Unsworth at Applications will be treated in the strictest confidence.
