Places still available for Russell Gray conducting course

There are still some places available for musical director Russell Gray’s conducting course in May.

The weekend course will be held in Livingston on Saturday and Sunday, 18 and 19 May, hosted once again by the Bathgate Brass Band.

Over the two days, Russell will cover such topics as rehearsal planning, preparation and execution, baton technique and much, much more.

Running in parallel with the main conducting course is the foundation course, aimed at novice conductors and musicians interested in the subject. This will be run by the popular Stuart Black.

Both the Bathgate senior and youth bands will be on hand to play throughout the weekend. The course will finish with a combined concert in which all delegates will conduct a piece of music.
