Final call for Scottish Youth Championships entries

This is a final shout-out for bands and percussion ensembles wishing to take part in the Scottish Festival of Brass Youth Championships which will take place in Perth Concert Hall on Saturday and Sunday, 25 and 26 November.

Bands in the Novice, Intermediate and Development sections are to play a programme of own-choice music not exceeding 15 minutes which must include a set work as follows:

Novice Section:

“Football Frenzy” from Fun Factory Junior Brass Series by Alan Fernie.

Intermediate Section:

Any piece from “Spirituals” (arr. Stephen D. Wood), Edition No.192 of the Junior Band Series, published by Obrasso-Verlag.

Development Section:

Any piece from “Two Swinging Spirituals” (arr. Alan Fernie), Edition No.29 of the Junior Band Series, published by Obrasso-Verlag.

Premier Section bands can play a programme of own-choice music not exceeding 20 minutes playing time.
