Entries invited for European Composers Competition

Aspiring composers are being invited to take part in the 9th European Composers Competition to be held in Palanga, Lithuania, next year as part of the 45th European Brass Band Championships.

Entrants should submit an original composition for brass band of a maximum of 12 minutes in duration.

The competition will consist of one preliminary round and then a final which will take place on 2 May 2024 in the Palanga Concert Hall where the new compositions will be performed by a championship section brass band.

The prize money will be 2500 Euros for winning the event, 2000 Euros for the runner-up and 1500 Euros for third place. All competitors who reach the final will receive a diploma.

Applicants must have been born on or after 1 January 1989. Closing date for entries is 15 January 2024.
