The Co mourns death of Craig Anderson

Thursday 30 June 2022

the cooperation band is shocked and saddened to learn of the sudden and tragic death of Craig Anderson, who had been with the band since his teens, on 24 June.

Craig’s father, Davy Anderson, a highly respected soprano player, was also with the band.

During his playing career, Craig always showed a fearless and high level of musicianship, with his playing featured on solo horn, flugel horn and probably every cornet chair over the years.

A huge personality, Craig was well known, loved and respected by bandspeople across Scotland and beyond. He formed lifelong friendships with people wherever he went. Although work and family commitments in recent years have taken priority over band, he was always willing to step in and dep whenever he could.

A dedicated family man, Craig met and married his wife Karen whilst both were members of The Co.

All thoughts are very much with Karen and Craig’s daughters and the whole family at this time. RIP Craig.
