Back to Banding: Appropriate reunion for Newland Concert Brass – on Make Music Day

Some members of Newland Concert Brass were delighted to meet up at Bathgate Partnership Centre on Monday to celebrate Make Music Day UK.

The ensemble – made up of players from both the junior and senior bands – enjoyed performing a variety of music after 15 months apart.

“Although we’ve continued to keep in touch via Zoom, as well as taking part in some virtual rehearsals and online performances over the past year, it was lovely to finally see each other in person,” said Newland Concert’s band manager Karen Heenan.

“We are now looking forward to taking part in the Whitburn Band Virtual Festival tonight.”
