At last, some good news! This year’s national finals are to go ahead as planned

Kapitol Promotions has announced that the finals of the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain 2021 will be going ahead as planned this year, subject to government rules and guidance at the time.

The competitions will be held as follows: 

Sections 1-4 Finals: Saturday 18 & Sunday 19 September, Cheltenham Racecourse

Championship Section Final: Saturday 2 October, London’s Royal Albert Hall

Philip Morris, managing director of Kapitol Promotions, commented: “After an extremely difficult 2020 for banding and society in general, we are all looking forward to bands being able to return to rehearsals and take part in these championships.”

Those bands who qualified for the finals at last year’s regional competitions will receive an invitation to attend via email towards the end of this month.

More exciting information regarding the National Championships, including how Kapitol Promotions intends to collaborate with the Royal Albert Hall in their 150th anniversary year, will be announced in due course.
