Are you a whizz at quizzes? Then this is for you!

Calling all bandspeople who are quizzers – and all quizzers who are bandspeople!

To give the new year a bit of impetus and provide a way to forget the misery that 2020 wrought on us all, Lochgelly Band is staging a Big Fat Brass Band Quiz of the Year.

The fun event is taking place on Saturday 9 January, starting at 7pm, so if you're a whizz with a quiz or simply enjoy testing your knowledge whilst socialising with fellow banders and raising funds for some great causes, this is right up your street.

The entry fee is £3 and proceeds will be shared with Macmillan Cancer Support. There will be a prize for the winning team but, of course, it will be the taking part that counts!

There are multiple rounds, so you’re not out of the running if your brass knowledge is a bit rusty. And as it will be a family friendly affair, household teams are welcome.
