Calling all former NYBBS members

Tuesday 17 April 2018

The Scottish Brass Band Association (SBBA) is calling on all past members of the National Youth Brass Band of Scotland (NYBBS) to assist in celebrating the 60th anniversary of the national youth ensemble by taking part in a special concert at the end of the 2018 NYBBS Summer Course.

In addition, organisers of the event are calling on former NYBBS members, whether they take part in the concert or not, to help put together a commemorative booklet which will include photos, newspaper clippings and recollections of experiences.

SBBA has released details of two pacakages on offer to former members. The first, at a cost of £50.00 per person, includes tickets to see the NYYBS Childrens and Reserve Bands concert in Perth on Saturday, 28 July. This will be followed by a rehearsal and social night at the Strathallan School, with dinner, bed and breakfast included. The following day, after another rehearsal, the band will travel to Stirling to join the 2018 NYBBS Senior Band in concert at Stirling's Albert Hall.
