Tartan Brass on lookout for new recruits
The organisers of Tartan Brass are on a last-minute recruitment drive ahead of the Whit Friday Brass Band Contests on Friday, 9 June.
A spokesperson for the group commented to SBBA: “The Whit Friday Marches are upon us again. Tartan Brass members are busy putting the finishing touches to their preparations for the 2017 marches. The music is chosen, kilts are ready and the brasso is out! We are looking for a couple of players to complete our line-up for what will be our twelfth consecutive year at the event! If you are a cornet or bass player, please email Dawn at tartanbrass@gmail.com for full details. We love to see new faces and welcome all to the Tartan Brass experience!”
Whit Friday is 9 June 2017 and the Tartan Brass coach leaves Glasgow on the evening of Thursday 8 June and returns on Saturday 10 June.
