European action to be streamed live
Brass band fanatics from across the globe will be able to tune in to the 2017 European Brass Band Championships from Oostend in Belgium thanks to a live streaming broadcast.
Both Champiopnship Section contests, the set test-piece (this evening) and own choice work (Saturday afternoon), will be braodcast live, as will the Challenge Section (Saturday morning) and Gala Concert on Saturday night. The live stream is being shown at Brassbanned.com and will be hosted by Tim Kelly.

This gives Scottish banders the opportunity to follow the progress of Coalburn Silver as it takes part in the Challenge Section contest with performances of Land of the Long White Cloud (Philip Sparke) and Bart Picqueur's Insomnia. It also means that Scotland's three representatives in the European Youth Brass Band, Kyle McCorquodale, Fiona Kennedy and Duncan McLuskie, can be viewed as they take part in the Gala Concert on Saturday night.
Although still to be confirmed, Brassbanned.com are also hoping to upload a live stream of the European Youth Contest, featuring the Scottish Borders Youth Brass Band, on Sunday. Updates on this, as well as details on how to register for the live stream, can be found at https://brassbanned.com/
