German documentary picture appeal
BRASS band enthusiasts have been invited to help a German film maker looking to raise the profile of the banding scene in Europe.
Carolin Lorenz is in the process of post-producing an independent documentary on brass music in Germany called Blechnarrisch (meaning "brass" and "crazy" in Bavarian). Carolin explained: "We filmed a brass band located in the south of Germany, the 3BA concert band, on its journey to the World Music Contest in Kerkrade in 2013.
"We interviewed Dr Robert Childs and would love to illustrate what he told us about the history of brass music in the UK. Therefore, we are looking for historic photographs we could use in our documentary. If you feel the need to support two German filmmakers spreading brass music enthusiasm in Europe, do not hesitate to contact me!"
