2015 Brass@theBard's youth contest cancelled
THE Brass@theBard's youth contest 2015 has been cancelled.
Organised by the West of Scotland Brass Band Association (WoSBBA), the event will not take place due to a lack of entries.
Feedback from bands pointed to the outdoor setting and the time of year as to reasons for opting not to return to the Burns Museum in Alloway in 2015.
A spokeswoman for the WoSBBA confirmed the organisation's committee would meet with representatives at the National Trust for Scotland in a bid to find a suitable date to hold the event next year.
