Recruiting at Irvine and Dreghorn
Irvine and Dreghorn are the only competing brass band in the whole of North Ayrshire, and practice on Wednesday and Sundays and as well as the senior band we have a focussed youth programme in place to train and develop youngsters from beginner level, up.
We had a successful Open Day on Sunday 11th January to recruit a new intake of young people to our ranks. And the 2015 session for Beginners and Youth Band begins on Sunday 18th January from 2pm!
We still have some spaces left on each programme, and so if you missed the open day, there is still opportunity to get involved!
The Beginners practice on a Sunday 2-3pm and the Youth Band at 3-4pm.
If you or a young person you know is interested in playing a brass or percussion instrument - but has never played before or has just started, the beginners class is the place for you! If you already play a brass or percussion instrument, the youth band may be better suited to you.
We are based at Woodlands Football Pavillion (aka Recreational Park) Woodlands Avenue, Irvine, KA12 0PU. Our Band Hall is situated on the first floor. (Please use the far right hand side door to the football pavillion, and come up the stairs to enter the Band Hall).
You can come along on Sunday, or for more information, call 07769 260912 or see www.idbrass.com
We are also looking into if there is any interest in an adult learners class. If you are interested, again please get in contact via 07769 260912 or www.idbrass.com
