Changes at Co-operative Funeralcare Band
The Co-operative Funeralcare Band is pleased to announce a major conducting appointment, Allan Ramsay has accepted the position of Associate Musical Director.
Allan commented "I have thoroughly enjoyed being back at Co-op in a playing capacity since the beginning of the year, and I am now looking forward to combining this with conducting responsibilities and working in conjunction with the band's professional conductors".
The band has also recently secured the signings of three quality players to bolster the ranks. Firstly, Andrea Casey, will take over the Flugel Horn chair. Andrea is a former member of the band and was a recent guest at the West Lothian Festival.
Daniel Fairley will join the percussion section; Daniel has also recently played with the band and is the currently the principal percussionist of the NYBBS 2012.
Finally, Keith Johnston the former principal cornet of Unison Kinneil band joins the cornet team and will be bringing a great talent and vast experience to the bands cornet section
Band Chairman Paul Kiernan commented "The band are delighted that Andrea, Daniel and Keith have accepted our invitation to join the band. The talent and experience they will bring will go a long way to assist us on our drive for musical excellence.
