Band on The Run
Barrhead Burgh Band are busily fundraising to fund their trip to Harrogate in September 2006, where they will represent Scotland at the National Brass Band Championships.
In a bid to reach their ?6000 target, five of the girls are taking part in the ladies 10k on Sunday 21st May through Glasgow to Bellahouston Park. Eileen Anderson, (flugel), Sarah Crangle, (cornet and Band Manager), Stephanie Coyle, (Percussion), Rachel MacDonald, (Cornet), and supporter Carole Ann Alford are all limbering up for the race, and are hopeful of raising substantial sponsorship to allow the Band to represent the local area.
To pledge your support, or to find out more about the band contact Sarah Crangle 07803 265 463 or email bandmanager@barrheadburghband.co.uk
