Kingdom Brass to Tour Germany
Kingdom Brass are about to embark on a concert tour of Germany on the 5th April with a series of four concerts throughout the country. They were approached early in 2004 by Bob Ross the conductor of the renowned brass ensemble 'Blechschaden' (which is made up of members of the brass section of the Munich Philharmonic) to appear alongside them in a TV documentary while they toured Scotland in May 2004. The TV programme featuring German ensemble Blechschaden along with Kingdom Brass has aired on German and French TV, with an audience of almost three million people seeing Kingdom's appearance.
From this first meeting a partnership was formed, with an invite extended to Kingdom to perform a series of concerts in Germany. A busy schedule is guaranteed, with the band having to travel through three regions of Germany between concerts!
Hamburg hosts the initial performance, with the band flying into the city on April 5th, and appearing in the impressive Hamburg Musikhalle on the evening of April 6th. The following day the band travels to Rodenbach, performing there in the evening, then onto the Munich region on the Saturday and two concerts over the weekend, one in Zolling and the final concert in the city of Munich itself.
