European soloist contest deadline extended

Ulf Rosenberg, president of the European Brass Band Association, is looking for more solo competition entries.
BRASS and percussion players in Scotland have been urged to get involved in the 7th European Soloist Competition after the deadline for entries was extended.
Anyone looking to take part will now have until February 20 to register their interest for the event, which takes place in Lille, France, from April 26 - 28. 2016.
The competitors who are selected to perform in Lille will give two performances (set-piece and own-choice) with piano, with the best three going forward to the final, when they will perform with Brass Band Nord Pas-de-Calais.

Ulf Rosernberg, president of EBBA, issued the call for entries as preparations continue for the 2016 Euro Festival, which runs from April 23 until May 1, incorporating the European Brass Band Championships.
