Newland Concert celebrates 30 years
Bathgate's Newland Concert Brass recently celebrated its 30th Anniversary with a concert in Bathgate Academy.
An audience of over 200 were in attendance to hear both the senior band, conducted by Musical Director Paul McKelvie OBE, and the junior band under Karen Heenan, playing a wide variety of music.
There was also an exhibition on show at the concert featuring photographs and memorabilia from the past 30 years.
The senior band is now keen to recruit a few more players to complete its line up with vacancies in front row cornet, 2nd horn and percussion.
The band's next engagements include the Bathgate Torchlight Procession on Saturday 2 December and its annual Christmas concert at Bathgate High Church Hall on Sunday 10 December. For more information on the band, please visit www.newlandconcertbrass.org.uk.
