Bands prepare for Johnstone concert showpiece
Johnstone Town Hall is set to host a brass band extravaganza this Sunday as four Scottish 1st Section bands take to the stage with their latest concert programmes.
Coalburn Silver, Dunaskin Doon, Johnstone and Newmilns and Galston Bands are all looking forward to taking part in this new-style event which will see each band receive feedback from a judging panel consisting of Charles Keenan (Quality of Performance), Scott Kerr (Contribution of Individuals/Soloists) and Graeme Law (Entertainment/Presentation). The audience will also have their say by voting for their best band of the day.
Come along and enjoy this brand new, innovative event. Entry will be £5.00 and free to under-16s, with the first band on at 3.00pm.
