Borders contest adjudicating change

BANDS in the second, third and fourth sections have been reminded of a change of adjudicator ahead of the 2015 Borders Entertainment contest.
Richard Evans has replaced Glyn Williams and will offer a written adjudication, while Charlie Farren will provide vocal feedback. The event, on Saturday, November 7, is organised by the Scottish Borders Brass Band Association and is due to take place in the Buccleuch Centre, Langholm.
There is to be a pre-draw 21 days before the event and requests for an early or late draw can be made on the entry form. Each band is required to play a 15 minute programme which includes a piece of original film music, with this year's contest being capped to 20 bands.
Prizes include awards for first place and the most entertaining band as well as the top bands in each section. Entry costs £50 per band and cheques should be sent with the entry form by September 19.
