Coalburn on lookout for new recruits
THE Coalburn Brass Band family is on the lookout for new recruits - and interested parties are being invited to hear all four ensembles in action.
A showcase event is taking place in Hamilton on Saturday, August 29. Held in Hamilton Baptist Church on Kemp Street, it will feature the children's, bronze, intermediate and silver bands as well as members of the Coalburn Percussion Academy. There will be an opportunity to see the bands rehearse and perform before having a chance to try a brass or percussion instrument.
Tuition and instruments can be provided to anyone who is interested in getting involved, regardless of whether they have played before or not.
Anyone who is interested in taking part should log on to the Coalburn Band website.
