Play Along Brassed Off

You've probably all heard of Sing-Along movies screenings - but have you ever heard of a 'Play Along' movie?? Well to mark the 30th anniversary of the end of the miner's strike in 1985, Lanark Memorial Hall, in South Lanarkshire, are staging what may be a unique opportunity to ‘Play-Along' with a special screening of every bander's favourite film Brassed Off.

The soundtrack for the original film was, of course, provided by the famous Grimethorpe Colliery Band, but on 11th April banders are invited to put their competitive differences aside and come along and have some fun to form a massed band to 'Play Along" with some of the great music while the film is screened on the big screen.

Tickets can either be booked for players to join in the play-along or for audience members who simply wish to come along and see the classic film together with live music. Those opting to play are asked to be at the venue at 1pm to allow a quick talk through of how the event will work when the audience arrive at 2pm.

Tickets should be purchased in advance from the box office on 01555 667999 Please state whether you are a player or audience member when booking and if a player which instrument you play.

Tickets: £6.00
