Broadnib Music Recording this years Open & Youth Championships
Broadnib Music are delighted to be returning to Perth for a third year to record the participating Bands' performances.
Bands will be able to purchase CD's as usual (5 copies for £27.50), but this year, after successful trials South of the border, we're offering the performances as a download. The download method is immune to adverse weather conditions and not at the mercy of an over-stretched postal system at this time of year.
The added benefit is that up to 50 people can download the recording which at £25.00 means it's 50 pence a download. Typically, everyone in the band (and even supporters) can download their copy. The downloads are MP3s which play on a variety of devices such as stand-alone players, smartphones, tablets/i-pads, and computers and will be to the 320kbit/s standard. Here's how it works:
You nominate an e-mail address (usually the band manager or the band address) and we send a short link code a few days after the contest. You pass on this link to up to 50 people. They click on it and download the track(s) - full instructions given with the link. The link expires either after 50 downloads or 28 days.
For those who insist on full CD quality, physical CDs can be ordered and sent by post. In addition to this, bands purchasing the download method this year can also have access to the recordings we have of them at this contest in 2010 and 2011 for an extra £10 per year. These are only via download. Full details on the order form. If you've never tried us before, why not give a go this year? Look forward to seeing and hearing you all in Perth.
