Kingdom Brass Fusion
Kingdom Brass are holding their Annual Concert on Saturday 13th August, in the Rothes Halls, Glenrothes, starting at 7.30pm.
Entitled "Fusion - A Blend of Brass and Jazz", the concert promises a mix of many types of music, modern and traditional, all presented with the usual high entertainment value that has become a trademark of a Kingdom Brass concert over the past few years.
As well as Kingdom Brass, there will also be performances from the Kingdom Brass Youth Band, and the Kingdom Percussion Academy.
Throughout 2011, the members of the Kingdom Brass Youth Band have been working closely with the Fife Youth Jazz Orchestra (FYJO) in a series of jazz masterclasses. FYJO will be the special guests at the concert this year.
The guest soloist will be the brilliant Faroese trombonist Dávur Juul Magnussen, principal trombone of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. Dávur appears courtesy of the concert sponsors, Besson Musical Instruments Ltd.
Tickets are priced at £8 and £4, while children of primary school age and younger get in for free. Special deals exist for block bookings from bands, and some free tickets are available for interested youth bands wanting to come along.
