St David\'s Brass Kibera Concert
Come and see the current Scottish 3rd Section Band of the Year St David's Brass perform in concert at St Matthew's Church Hall, Rosewell at 7:30PM on Friday, June 3rd.
Entry to the concert is free with all donations going to Kibera, Kenya. Our 2nd Baritone player, Mhairi Stewart will be working there over the summer, helping the poor in the world's worse slum. She will be mostly based in the slum school but part of her role will be speaking with the Kiberian people who live and work in the slums. The band were approached by Mhairi's parents to perform at this event as they are trying to raise some money for the organisation she will be working with to help the poorest of the poor.
As well as an excellent concert programme, there will be a raffle with all proceeds going to Kibera and a bar will be open throughout.
We look forward to seeing you there
