SBBA Appoint Events Manager
The Scottish Brass Band Association is very pleased to announce that Peter Fraser has been appointed as its Events Manager. Peter will be responsible for planning and organising the SBBA AGM and Conference in October, the Scottish Open, Challenge Cup and Shield, and the Scottish Youth Championships in November, and the Scottish Championships in March. He will also continue to be Scotland's representative on the European Brass Band Association.
"When Peter resigned as SBBA President at the beginning of August, we realised this would leave a big hole in our organisational capacity" said SBBA Secretary Tom Allan "so we were delighted when Peter offered to take on this important role. It will retain his vast experience for the continuing benefit of Scottish and European banding".
Following discussions between SBBA and Peter Fraser, the new appointment was agreed at the SBBA Executive Committee meeting on 14th August.
