Flugel star Stephanie to leave the Co

the cooperation band has announced that flugel soloist Stephanie Kennedy has decided to leave the band as she looks to focus more of her time on her growing work in conducting and music education.

During the past six years the Oldroyd Artist and award winning player has made a huge contribution to the band’s success, most notably, as part of its Brass in Concert Championship winning performance last year at which she was awarded the Best Flugel prize.

Band manager Alan Douglas commented: “Stephanie’s musicianship, commitment and distinctive sound has been an important part of the cooperation band over the past six years, and we are hugely grateful for everything she has brought to the band, both musically and personally.

“As Stephanie moves into this next chapter, we wish her every success as she continues to develop her work as a conductor and educator.”

Stephanie continues to be part of the wider Cooperation organisation as conductor of the Cooperation Youth Band, where she will continue to inspire, encourage and develop the next generation of young musicians.
