Help! Polbeth Gala Day needs a brass band urgently!

An urgent appeal has gone out from the organisers of the Polbeth Gala Day for a brass band to lead the procession through the West Lothian village on Saturday (27 June).

“We have been let down at the last minute and we are now in desperate need of a band,” said Selina Smith, one of the organisers. “Do you know of any bands that could help us out?

“Any help would be massively appreciated as this could be the first time in 90 years that our gala hasn’t had a band.”

The gala procession starts at 10.45am and, including a short halt at the village school for the crowning of the queen, the band would be required for about an hour.
