Girvan Brass is on the look-out for a new MD

Girvan Brass is on the look-out for a new musical director. This relatively new South Ayrshire group is for players who wish to be part of an ensemble of musicians which meets once a week for enjoyment without the pressure of contesting.

Co-founder Chris Johnston said: “We are seeking one conductor – or two if the role is to be shared – to take our rehearsals on Tuesday evenings 7-9pm.

“Perhaps you play in a brass band nearby and fancy having a go at conducting a small but happy and friendly group of players. This is a voluntary position for possibly several months.”
