Alex Philip and Colin Ormiston were presented with their SBBA life membership medals at the Scottish Championships on Sunday.
Alex began playing with Newtongrange in 1973. He later spent several years performing on London’s West End shows. Upon returning to Scotland, he went on to play with Whitburn and Newtongrange and is now a valued member of Kingdom Brass.
Colin started his banding journey with Alloa Burgh Band in 1973, followed by a playing career with Newtongrange and Clackmannan. He is also a dedicated and highly valued member of Kingdom Brass.
Both men work extremely well together, and everyone at Kingdom Brass is delighted that they have deservedly received these awards from SBBA.
