An outstanding display of playing in Northern Counties youth solo and ensemble contest

An outstanding show of young brass talent was on display on Saturday in the Northern Counties solo and ensemble contest in Panbride Hall, Carnoustie, at which Charlie Farren was the adjudicator and Damian Martin the piano accompanist.

“We had a good number of entries and Charlie was delighted with the commitment and sounds that the youngsters made,” NCBBA president Jim Wishart said.

“In his closing remarks, he spoke in general to all entrants and parents and gave his thanks to them all for their excellent performances.”
