Dysart Colliery’s Glebe Centre community hub plan receives boost

Dysart Colliery Silver Band’s bid to secure the Glebe Centre for a community music hub through a Community Asset Transfer from Fife Council has received a boost following approval by the council’s Kirkcaldy Area Committee.

The band is leading the initiative, in partnership with the Kirkcaldy Gaming Society, in an effort to transform the stone-built former school into a community hub for the town which would also serve as a permanent home for Dysart’s senior, community and youth bands.

Final approval now moves to Fife Council Cabinet Committee which is due to meet shortly.
