Whitburn Gala Day appeal for brass bands

Brass bands are being invited to participate in this year’s Whitburn Gala Day which will take place on Ssturday 27 June.

The event organisers are looking to engage around 14 marching bands for the main Gala Day Procession which will leave Whitburn Academy at 11am and finish at King George V Park around 12.15pm.

There will be a number of road closures in place from 10am and parking can be a problem so all bands are required to be in the town for 9.30-9.45am. There will be no parking available at the academy in the morning. 

After the main procession and crowning ceremony, there will be entertainment playing in the Gala Day Park (from around 1 to 2.30pm) so if bands would be available to participate, it would be appreciated.

• What level of involvement you are looking to have in the main procession

• What your fee would be for participating in each event

• How many members would be participating and would you require a float for the

main procession?
