That’s entertainment! Fifteen bands ready to put on a show at Borders contest
Monday 27 October 2025Fifteen bands from will take to the stage at Jedburgh Town Hall on Saturday (1 November) to take part in the Borders Entertainment Contest.
The event brings together brass bands from Sections 2 to 4 across Scotland and beyond, showcasing diverse and engaging programmes designed to entertain audiences.
Yamaha is sponsoring the adjudicators for the contest who will be Russell Gray and Paul Drury.
Bands will be competing for:
· 1st Prize Trophy and cash
· Most Entertaining Band Trophy and cash
· 1st in Section 2 Trophy and cash
· 1st in Section 3 Trophy and cash
· 1st in Section 4 Trophy and cash
· Best Soloist
· Best Instrumentalist
· Best Bass Section
· Best Percussion Section
· Deportment
Heading the alphabetical list of participating bands is Annan Town (Lewis Wilkinson) who will be defending the title it won last year.
