West of Scotland seeks two missing trophies from entertainment contest
Wednesday 1 October 2025The West of Scotland Brass Band Association is asking all bands that have taken part in the Troon entertainment contest to check their trophy cabinets and the dark corners of their rehearsal premises for two missing cups from the competition.
The Strathclyde Cup for the best 4th Section band and the Peter Grant Cup for the best second-placed band overall have been lost since before the Covid pandemic.
West of Scotland entertainment contest organiser Lesley Crumlish is urging the past winners of these trophies to thoroughly search their band halls and request members to check their homes for the absent silverware.
