Dysart Colliery provide the music for commemorative cairn ceremony

Among the engagements of King Charles and Queen Camilla while on a visit to Kirkcaldy in Fife yesterday morning was the unveiling of a new commemorative cairn to mark the centenary of the Kirkcaldy War Memorial.

And providing the music for the Royal occasion were members of the Dysart Colliery Silver Band.

Even the rain didn’t dampen the occasion which included a service of rededication at Kirkcaldy War Memorial on its 100th anniversary in remembrance of those named on the memorial.

Previously the King had visited Fife in October 2022, for his first official engagement as he conferred city status on Dunfermline.
