Ralph Brill joins Dalmellington as associate conductor

Dalmellington Band has announced the appointment of Ralph Brill as associate conductor.

Ralph brings a wealth of experience to the band, grounded in a distinguished career in military music. His passion for brass is matched only by his wealth of knowledge, class and performance pedigree.

A fine cornetist, Ralph held the principal seat with the Redbridge and GUS Footwear bands and was a founding member of the Frank Renton Brass Machine.

He has conducted the Clacton Co‑operative Band and, more recently, the Dunaskin Doon Band. He is also bandmaster of the Highland Army Reserve Band, Royal Regiment of Scotland.

Ralph brings both military precision and artistic elegance to rehearsals and Dalmellington players are excited and honoured to learn from him and grow under his leadership and training.

Ralph will work alongside musical director, esteemed composer, adjudicator and professional tuba player Andy Duncan.
