Les’ recognition for 50 years service to banding

Selkirk Silver Band solo horn player Les Mallin has received his life membership medal from the Scottish Brass Band Association in recognition of 50 years service to brass banding.

Les progressed from the junior to the senior band in 1975 and has been a stalwart member of Selkirk Silver ever since.

The medal presentation was made by Caroline Farren, Whitburn Band flugel player Caroline Farren and SBBA child protection officer, at a joint concert featuring the two bands.
