Alex is Scottish Young Musicians finalist

Congratulations to Alex Robertson, front row cornet player with Newtongrange Silver Band, on reaching the finals of this year’s Scottish Young Musicians competition, having won the Midlothian heat. 

Alex, who is also a member of the National Youth Brass Band of Scotland senior band, will join Luke Parkhill, of Newmilns & Galston Band, and Ash Paton, who plays with Renfrew Burgh and Riverside Youth bands, at the final of the Scottish Young Musicians in the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland on Sunday 25 May.
