Northern Counties contest cancelled for this year

The Northern Counties Brass Band Association has made the difficult decision to cancel this year's entertainment contest which was scheduled for Sunday 18 May.

“This decision was not taken lightly, but in view of low entries and financial constraints we had no alternative but to cancel,” explained NCBBA president Jim Wishart.

“Our secretary Tori Chamberlain will contact all bands soon to try and gauge the reasons for the low entry, which we hope will give us new ideas for the contest in 2026.”
