Is there any interest in a Clans v Counties summer entertainment contest?

A Clans vs Counties entertainment contest is being proposed by well-known musical director, educator and adjudicator Helen Douthwaite Teasdale for June 2026.

Helen is currently testing the appetite for such an event which will more than likely take place at a venue in the north of England.

The own-choice contest would be open to registered Championship to 4th Section bands from Scotland and the north of England, as defined by the NoEBBC – Cleveland, Cumbria, Durham, East Riding of Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire, North Yorkshire, Northumberland, and Tyne and Wear. 

“If this is something your band might be interested in, please get a band official to complete this form,” says Helen, who is the current MD of Irvine & Dreghorn Brass. “This is purely for me to gauge interest at this time.”
