Back-to-back concerts herald a busy season for Coalburn bands

Wednesday 11 May 2022

Back-to-back concerts later this month will kick off a busy season for the Coalburn Band family.

The various ensembles are enjoying playing a wide variety of music in their rehearsals and are raring to go!

The first concert will be in East Kilbride Old Parish Church on Friday 20 May, featuring some Disney favourites, popular music from around the globe and will be performed by the Silver Band and the Intermediate Band.

Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start and tickets cost £7/£5 (free entry for children 12 and under).  The proceeds from this concert will go towards the general running costs of the church and the band.

In the second concert, in Coalburn Miners Welfare on Saturday 21 May, the Bronze Band, Beginners and Silver Band will play some children’s favourites from the world of Disney and other toe tapping songs.

Doors open at 6.15pm for a 7pm start with a £7/£5 ticket entry (free for children 12 and under). Proceeds will go to Coalburn Primary School and Coalburn Gala Day.
