Dalkeith and Monktonhall moves into new home

Dalkeith and Monktonhall Band has secured new rehearsal facilities in Prestonpans with the assistance of East Lothian Council.

The band’s new base is in the former Red School in the town and consists of several rehearsal rooms, storage and office space, and a fitted kitchen with a café area.

“We have been trying to obtain bigger premises for nearly 20 years and now we have secured a lease on our new home, it will help our band greatly in the recovery from the lockdowns and give us a solid base for the future,” said secretary Heather Henderson.
