Galashiels return to the stage with a free concert for the town

Galashiels Town band is to host its first live concert since the Coronavirus outbreak. The free event represents a return to some sense of normality for the players as they take to the stage once again.

The event – featuring both senior and youth bands – will take place on Saturday 2 October in the town’s Volunteer Hall, starting at 7.30pm.

“Like all of the banding community, Galashiels has loved being back in the band room and members have been working incredibly hard to get this concert ready,” commented musical director Stuart Black.

“Along with myself, everyone is really excited to get back on a stage and perform for an audience after such a tough time. It’s going to be a fun night and one people will remember for a long time.”
